1/3 c Maple syrup
1/2 c Brown sugar
1 Egg
2/3 c Shortening
1/2 ts Baking soda
1/3 c Peanut butter
1/2 ts Salt
1/4 ts Baking powder

Combine everything until smooth and chill for 1 hour. Roll into balls,
place on ungreased cookie sheets, and flatten with a fork. Bake for 8-10
minutes at 375.
